Canakkale Troy Pergamon 2 Days

DAY 1: ISTANBUL – GALLIPOLI – CANAKKALE
Pick up at 6:00 from Taksim area hotels or 6:30 - 7:00 from Sultanahmet area hotels. Departure for Gallipoli. The journey takes approximately 5.5 hours but we will stop at around 9:00 for breakfast in a local restaurant (breakfast is not included). Continue to Eceabat and lunch by the Dardanelles Straight. 13:00 we drive to Gallipoli and visit: Brighton Beach, the intended landing place, Beach Cemetery on the southern tip of Anzac Cove, the landing place of the first wave of Australian and New Zealand troops and home to up to 30,000 troops during the campaign, Ariburnu Cemetery, Anzac Commemoration Site, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, site of the successful attack and capture of Turkish trenches by the Australians during the August offensive, Johnston’s Jolly where you will visit the original Allied and Turkish trenches and tunnels, 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial, The Nek and the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. Overnight in Canakkale.

DAY 2: CANAKKALE – TROY – PERGAMON – KUSADASI
Pick up at 08:30 and depart for Troy visiting the model of the Trojan Horse, Sacrificial Altars, The 3700 year old city walls, Houses of Troy I, 3000 B.C. - 2500 B.C., The Bouleuterion (Senate Building), The Odeon (Concert Hall), Current excavations, Remains of the various cities from Troy I through to Troy IX. 10:30 we will depart for Bergama. 13:30 we will have lunch in Bergama and then visit the Pergamon Acropolis, where the ruins of Zeus Altar can still be seen today. The Acropolis is situated high above the plain and has a unique panoramic view. The very narrow and steep theater on the hillside could seat up to 10,000 people. Parchment paper was first produced in Pergamon. We will visit the remains of the Great Library, which rivaled the one of Alexandria in Egypt, the palaces of the kings, and Temple of Trajan. We depart at around 17:30. Arrive in Kusadasi at around 21:30. (B.)
